For the unit assessment, students will "adopt a scientist" and do a biography about them. This assignment will help students practice two essential skills, research and writing. These are important skills for a scientist, and for life. In this project, students will choose any scientist from any point in history. Students will then write a brief biography about them, and present it in any form they choose. The goal is to tell the class about a scientist that has made important contributions to the world and challenges they may have faced along the way.
